About Aureo Finance

Who writes this site, why it exists, and why an Italian personal finance publication has an English section.

Aureo Finance is an Italian personal finance publication. It exists because most writing about money is either an advertisement wearing a disguise, or so hedged and jargoned that it teaches nothing.

The Italian side of this site is written for people under 35 who were never taught how any of this works. The English side exists for a narrower reason.

Why an English section

If you live in Italy and don’t speak fluent Italian, the financial system here is close to opaque. Your broker asks you to choose between amministrato and dichiarativo with no explanation. Your accountant mentions a quadro RW. Your employer mentions TFR. None of it is searchable in English in any depth, and the few pages that exist are either outdated or trying to sell you a consultation.

So this section does two things:

Investing in Italy — taxes, pensions, brokers and paperwork, explained in English but keeping the Italian terms, because those are the words you will actually meet on the forms.

The basics — ETFs, index investing, the psychology of saving. These don’t change with your address, and they’re here so you don’t have to start elsewhere.

What this is not

This is not financial advice, and nothing here is personalised to your situation. Aureo Finance is not a registered financial adviser, does not manage anyone’s money, and does not recommend specific products.

Where an article mentions a rate, a threshold or a rule, it reflects what applied at the time of writing. Italian tax law changes, and the burden of checking the current position is yours — ideally with a commercialista if the amounts matter.

The site carries no affiliate links and takes no commission from brokers or fund providers. That is a deliberate constraint: the moment a guide earns more when you pick one platform over another, it stops being a guide.

Getting in touch

Corrections are welcome, and useful — particularly on the Italy-specific articles, where rules shift. Write to info@aureofinance.it.
